I know that I am a slacker when it comes to the blogging world, but lets face it I really don't have much to blog about. My little sister Kimberlee had a beautiful baby boy on January 28th. he weighed 8lbs 1oz and was 19.5 in long. I am now the proud aunt of SIX!! He is so perfect and both him and Kimberlee are doing great :) Here are a few pics of the little guy.

For the record I think his hair is a reddish color :)

Newton Family Christmas Party

Every year for our family Christmas party my parents take us to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, then to the Gallivan plaza for ice skating and last Temple Square to see the Christmas lights. This year we went on December 6th and we had a blast. It was FREEZING but we still had a good time. Thanks mom and dad!! We love you!

I babysit my sister Desi's three kids two times a week while she is at school and I admit that it is not an easy job, but I absolutely love it! They are such sweet kids and they love to hug and kiss me :) I told my three year old niece Sadie that we were best friends, so now whenever she talks to me she calls me "best friend" instead of Aunt Nanny. Here are some pictures that my friend Erin took of them a couple weeks ago. Seriously I have the cutest nieces and nephews ever! I love you guys and thank you for being so good for your Aunt Nanny :)

He's here!!! Our very good friends Levi and Lethie had a beautiful baby boy on October 30 at 11:13 pm. He weighed in at an even 8 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing fine and getting plenty of rest. We are so happy for you guys and can't wait to see the little guy! Love you :)

This year Halloween was a lot of fun. Mike and I decided to dress up as Rockstars and carry around the equipment for the Rockband game. We really got into and it was all Mike's idea for him to wear spandex pants!!! On Saturday my parents took all of us to the Pumpkin patch in Santaquin. We got to ride in a wagon out to the pumpkin patch. We all picked out the pumpkin of our choice and had a really fun time doing it. There were so many good ones it was hard to choose....I am pretty sure that is why most of us got more than one ;)

Friday March 13th my nephew Alek turned 1. It is so crazy how time flies!! I can't believe that he is 1 already!! I headed over early to help my sister Amber prepare for the party. Amber babysits my other nephew Ryker during the week so I knew she would have her hands full with both the boys. I watched Ryker as Amber got everything put together for the BEST party ever :) Alek loved the balloons he got and liked the wrapping paper on his gifts a little more than the gifts ;) Amber even made a little cake just for him so he could dig right in...but since this is Amber's son and anyone who knows my sister knows that she is OCD...he dug right in with a spoon!! He was a pretty clean eater for a 1 year old!!! I love you Alek and hope you had a good year!!

Nick and the Love Sack

This happened a few weeks ago and I totally forgot to blog about it. I was in my room studying for a test and decided to go out and get a drink of water. While walking through the downstairs living room I noticed my brother-in-law Nick was trying to put away this ginormous love sack that was in the living room. Both him and Emily had to take ALL the stuffing out and put it into bags, which they then sucked the air out of with a vacuum. I expected him to be there just emptying it out....but no not Nick......he had to climb inside it and be one with the bag. LOL!

Every Thursday Amber, Kimberlee and I go grocery shopping together. It's fun for us to get together and see each other during the week. Amber brings my nephew Alek and Kimberlee brings Ryker (since it's her day to watch him) and we all go to target to shop. Today Alek wanted to help push the cart that Ryker was in. We put him down and he held onto the bottom of the cart and helped push it all through Target. He is getting so big and is such a good helper :) Thanks Alek boy!

Last night Mike and I received a call from my sister Desi saying that she needed to take Asher to the ER. He was having a hard time breathing and they were getting worried. Of course Mike and I rushed over there to watch the girls while Desi and Ryan took their 1 month old baby to the hospital. He ended up only having a bronchial infection, which is a lot better than RSV or pneumonia, and was back home that night :) It was about 9:30pm when we got there so our job wasn't too hard, since all we needed to do was put the girls to bed. Mike drew pictures with Sadie and than let the girls lay on him while we watched Wall E. Mike is such a good uncle :) The girls were very good and went to bed when we told them to. We love them and had so much fun hanging out with them :)

I finally decided after months of growing my hair out, it was time for a change. Me and my hair dresser Stacy decided to go short. January 22, 2009 at 2:11pm my 3rd nephew Asher Rey Sedgwick was born. He wighed in at 7lbs 4oz and was 20.5 inches long. He has a lot of dark hair and I think he looks just like his big sister Addie. My sister Desi is doing great, and I think the girls are adjusting very well to another boy in the house. Congrats guys!! I love you!!!

My little brother Willy and his wife Jen just had their first baby. Ryker William Newton was born early this morning January 7, 2009. He weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs 10 oz!!! They took him c-section which was a good thing since I doubt Jen could have delivered him the other way!! He is so cute! He has a lot of hair and will probably only fit in his newborn clothes till they leave the hospital ;). Jen is doing great and we are so proud of her!! Congrats Willman and Jen!! I love you guys!!

P.S. Willy fell in the shower and hit his head on the toilet causing it to split open.......hence the bandage on the head. Nice one Willman ;)

Today I watched Addie and Sadie while Desi ran and got her hair cut. Sadie always asks "Where's Mike...?" She loves her Uncle Mike and always goes into his room whenever she comes over. Today she wanted to draw him a picture, and she told me that she had to do it at his desk. So I let her sit in his chair and make him a pretty picture to hang on the fridge. I just thought she looked so cute sitting in his GIANT chair :)

A couple of weeks ago my parents took my whole family out for a day of fun. They decided that instead of giving us gifts or money for Christmas they would take us to dinner, ice skating, and to see the lights at Temple Square. We have done this for three years in a row and we love it! This year it happened to fall on my birthday which was great, because spending time with the Newton clan is one of my favorite things to do. We ended up eating at Texas Road House, then went ice skating at The Gallivan Plaza. We had so much fun! Here are some pictures from the day.

We attended the last game of the season for the University of Utah Utes. It was a fantastic game! We played BYU our arch rival and beat them 48-24!! All the Ute fans were cheering and screaming the whole game. BYU was getting humiliated on and off the field....it was a perfect night!! We finished the season 12-0 and are headed to a bowl game!! GO UTES!!!

Mike and I have season tickets to the University of Utah football games. They have had a perfect season so far and last night was a big game against TCU. The Utes were having a hard time all night until the last 2 minutes, when they decided to pull there heads out and win the game. Final score Utes 13 TCU 10. It was such a fun and very stressful game. The Utes had new black uniforms so everyone was suppose to wear black for the game. We had a fun time and are so glad the Utes pulled it off! GO UTES!!!

Okay so I am horrible at this whole blog thing!! Maybe if I had a kid to blog about it might be easier. Anyways here are some pictures from Halloween. We spent the night at Desi and Ryan's with the whole family and then headed to Mike's house for a Halloween party with Emily and Nick. We had a fun time going out and getting dressed up in our costumes....even though they were kind of cheap and just put together really fast. Ryan I think had the best costume by far!! Love the used car salesman look....grrrr!

So we went on our first "official married date" on Friday. It was a blast. We decided to go up to Sundance and ride the Ski lifts for the full moon ride. It was so beautiful up the canyon...and only 69 degrees...who could ask for anything more :) After the ski lift ride we headed to Cold Stone for some delicious ice cream.....typical Zoobie date....haha burn on us.
